Perak win over armed forces bola sepak

Nigerian striker Abdulafees Abdulsalam scored two goals that help lift Perak off the bottom of the Super League standings as they won against Armed Forces, 2-1 at the Perak Stadium.


Abdulafees had his goals in the 40th and 86th minutes that gave Perak their fourth win of the season.

The consolation goal by Forces was scored by Argentinian Juan Arostegui deep into injury time.

Upon winning, Perak’s standing moved a notch up to 11th place with 13 points and sent Forces on the last spot with 10 points on a 12-team league standing.

Meanwhile at the Sultan Ismail Stadium in Kuala Terengganu, Teren­gganu were held to a 1-1 draw by T-Team in a local derby.

The Turtles went ahead through Zairo Anuar Zalani’s strike in the 36th minute.

Rwandan striker, Jimmy Mulisa headed in the equalizer for the Titans in the 77th minute to rescue a point.

The end result pushed the Turtles to third spot with a total of 25 goals from 15 matches.

T-Team stayed on the 9th spot with 16 points.

In the interim, the Premier League match between UiTM and Penang at the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam was cut on the 51st minute due to heavy rain. The match will continue at 4:45pm on Saturday at the same venue with no goals scored from both teams.

Premier League leader, Police had a 2-2 draw against Sabah.
